Exciting Family Adventure Movie

Good adventure film with a powerful performance by Robert Downey Jr (a little more sarcastic than the comic's version of Tony Stark, but certainly an inspired performance). Jon Favreau does the material justice with good action sequences (not his usual area) and action fans may not get Matrix-ed Size actions sequences, yet they don't disappoint either. Paltrow and Bridges are quite good (one scene with them together is quite suspenseful), and it is great to have Bridges as a 'gray' character (he would have made a great Stark too). The film is a cool popcorn flick. Although it may not have the iconic fight scenes that people are accustomed to seeing in comic book movies, it harkens back to a simpler style of filmmaking that provides a little more heart to the characters.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
