No. It's not the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, but C. S. Lewis never meant it to be. This book was meant to describe other aspects of the Christian life. It is dark and violent, but filled with hope and assurance that in the midst of war we are not alone. Changes from the book worked pretty well in the movie. The special effects were mostly superb, with a scene or two that needed a bit more work. Acting was very good. Caspian was a little underplayed. I was pleased that there were none of the typical Hollywood pet political/cocial themes overtly woven in. My only complaint with the film, and one that Lewis didn't make in his novel- More Aslan, more Aslan, more Aslan!
