As the series of Batman movies matures they take on a more dark viewpoint as well as more mature and complex themes. In Dark Knight we see the complexity of being a hero mixed with the fantasy of peoples heroes, "The Hero we want versus the Hero we Need" story line is engaging and holds your attention. Heath Ledger is nothing short of fantastic in his role, showing many facets to the sinister Joker, while still maintaining the ability to be a "joker".
The only downside to the movie is the suspension of disbelief levels that sometimes get a little out there. But if you are able to let the movie carry you away, you will not be disappointed at all. A very good movie and certainly "Worth the Time"
