Too long, slow developing and extremely predictable. As an old school Iron Man fan I was disappointed in the movie and baffled about the hype.
I went to the matinee movie with my 16 year old son on his birthday. I though it might be a good chance for us to kick off the day with a little fun and excitement.
The plot took so long to get moving that I was tempted to leave and take a break! My son fell asleep in the middle of the movie...before noon.
Downey Jr. was great, Howard was mis-casted - stilted and unable to make his role solidify.
Way too much political stereotyping garbage over the Afganistan scenes...could probably cut 2/3rds of those scenes and still keep the movie plot intact...they go nowhere.
Paltrow was so shallow in the role you didn't know whether to like her or hurl. The effects were great...

No, I do not recommend this movie.
