This movie hit it out of the park. The moment you sit down to the moment you get up; this movie had us all entranced with the action, intrigue, suspense, and the emotions. Its a must see for fans; no movie gets it exactly right from the book; but this one does cover the important points of it. The fans will love it as I do. I am looking forward to the conclusion to a rather fine story. Im sure part 2 will make us wanting more; just like this movie did.
This movie had a few twists and turns and it lives up to its name. The action was great and the scenes were stunning. The "girls" are unbelieveably good at using weapons. (They are really 20 yrs olds) I liked the sword play. This movie has some elements of Gunslinger Girl (loosely) and a few animes involving girls with swords. I highly suggest readers consider some of the animes as some have even better story lines as this one.
Emma Stone delivers a very good performance throughout this movie showing how her character struggles with some very serious and not so serious moral issues. Her character makes sacrifices that many would not do; but in her own retrospective she knows she is making people think. It starts out a teen movie; but in the end sends a stern message to the younger audience about the consequences of their actions.
To be honest; I would like to see her in more complex roles. Yes she is very much complex here; but she can do way better. I can honestly say she will be the actress to watch in the years to come. She may be doing comedy now; but I hope she does more.
While this movie did not necessarily follow the cartoon series ; it did remain faithful to some of the original characters. Snake Eyes is still quite himself. I forsee many kids wanting to dress like him on Halloween. While Duke and Baroness had a slight change to their origins; I like the way it turned out. For an origin story; it has a few twists and turns. I think old fans as well as a new generation of new ones will enjoy this movie and appreciate the direction it is going.
This movie had its funny moments and its serious ones as well. I liked the storyline that gives us some more history about the autobots and decepticons. It is truly faithful to the original. Once again Megan Fox steals the show with her one liners. Saying.. "Your such a girl!" to Sam was priceless.
This movie has faithfully gone where no one has gone before. The opening sequence brought tears to my eyes. I am not a die hard trekker, but of all the Trek movies I have seen; this one was the most Human. Dare I quote the James T Kirk of TOS? Many will debate the plot, but I think that the torch has been passsed and finally we will see a new Trek that will hopefully inspire countless generations in the years to come. I for one; want a series with this very cast. I do not care how much it costs the studio. You cannot put a price on quality. To quote John F Kennedy..." We do these things not because they are easy, but because they are hard. " The eyes of the world will always be looking for STAR TREK.
I really liked the movie and its plot was very believeable. Robert Downey Jr. was meant for this role. I cannot imagine another actor who could be Tony Stark. The technology and special effects were incredible. Having a devoted fan like Jon Favoreau as director has put this film in orbit. Hollywood should take notice. A true fan as Director will make a blockbuster. See the movie in digital format; it is way better.
