Walked in wondering if a Seth Rogen headed Green Hornet would work at all, especially being a fan of the old radio dramas and then the TV show, but it did. I had a complete blast the whole time!
What is it by the way with Christoph Waltz's bad guy's seeming so genuinely nice! Instead of playing up the fake, slightly psychotic nice that most bad guys have while oozing malice, he genuinely seems to be a sensible nice fellow. What a hilarious subversive actor. :D
Everyone does great, Seth Rogen is himself, like always, but it works. Jay Chou is bad ASS, and nails a more intelligent, less marginalized Kato than the original.
Great! The Pseudoscience was a bit of a stretch somtimes, which dissapointed the other half of the geek in me besides the comic book half. THAT half however, was squealing like a schoolgirl in heat. There were constant nods to events and characters and moments from the comics, we absolutely loved it.
