This opera was beautifully casted in ALL parts and beautifully performed by Voight, Giordano, Gallo as well as the supporting cast. Not a typical Puccini opera but striking nevertheless.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

An excellent performance - better than going to the Metropolitan Opera itself because one would not experience the close-up view, interviews of the singers. A great experience for both opera lovers (me) and newcomers to opera. Not to mention the money saved by not having to travel to NYC. Thank you to all involved.
