I attended the midnight showing of Iron Man last night. Overall I would rate this movie with 4 stars. Script was excellently done and the director chose great actors to play the roles. The visuals were absolutely amazing - many times in the movie the CGI will make you wonder if the scenes are real. The composition was as expected with music ranging from rock to classical. My favorite part was the portrayal of Tony Stark. This movie is a very interesting perspective in the characters life. The plot was obvious - Tony creates war machines that go against protection but turn to offense for the opposition. The only reason I rated this movie a 4 is due to the lack of character depth for the entire comic series (i.e. villains). This however is not the director’s fault it is the fault of the comic series. The ending definitely hints are sequels and possible spin-offs. Some advice - WATCH this movie especially if you are a comic book fan, you will not be let down (Ghost Rider) AND if you can watch the entire credits because there is an additional scene once complete. Final note if you are in the Columbus area purchase reserved seating - no lines, large oversized chairs (more like recliners) and perfect screen placement.
