In an age of pseudo-science and inane drivel dominating our media, entertainment, and now many parts of education, this movie is a refreshing wake-up call for folk to think again. "Chance" has been crowned by atheistic evolutionists as the all-powerful force (their version of "the Almighty") behind the existence of all things. This movie helps us to see how foolish and harmful such non-thinking can be, and how our freedom to explore and learn is being stifled and stymied.
Oxford University's Richard Dawkins, one of the premier spokesmen for atheism and evolution in our day, is actually seen and heard to say to Ben Stein in this movie that maybe "aliens" planted life on earth. (And he's more intellectual and credible than intelligent-design folk?) Ok, Professor Dawkins, let's assume the aliens planted the very tiniest beginnings of life on earth millions of years ago. Where did the aliens come from? Who brought the aliens to life? Chasing such rabbits, even across the galaxy, doesn't bring Dr. Dawkins and his followers any closer to real answers, but this movie does!
This movie is a must-see! Ben Stein is engaging, thought-provoking and witty. I was amazed at the range of emotion this movie evokes from one end of the spectrum to the other. Your cage will get rattled in new ways, and your mind will be quickened to think in bigger and more exciting categories.
