I am in the minority in saying that this movie fell a bit short of my expectations. Yes it is packed with action, explosions, drama, all that. I feel Batman Begins is a far superior film. To me, Heath Ledger saved this film. I find it VERY hard to believe that Rachels character was an object of desire, and since this is a key part of the story, it hurt the film. Maggie is just plain ugly. And she looks 50 years old. Bale was great as expected, but there were spots where I was questioning the beliveability of the tech used by Batman. Not a big deal in a movie that is coming across as strictly fantasy, but the delivery of DK is meant to feel real, and makes the small sticking points that much more magnified. I would definately recommend this film, but do not agree that it was the best hero movie of the summer. Viva la Tony Stark.
