Many box-office films based on established fictional franchises fail to accomplish what this film has achieved. What exactly did it do? Basically, it managed to take a great comic book's narrative and plot and move out of the newstand and onto the big screen without seriously screwing up the original story. The movie should appease the Iron Man diehards and please those new to his character. The casting and acting were superb. Sequels will undoubtedly be made for this Marvel franchise based on all the reviews, box-office revenue, and marketing potential. Considering how engrained Tony Stark/Iron Man is within the "Marvel Universe" the plot possibilities for future films are essentially endless.
