Fabulous movie for us gals and our guys. We went with two other 40-something couples, and we all loved it. This is a great date night movie for people who've been married awhile and can relate to these characters. The "R" rating was due to just a scene or two, and easily could've been PG-13. Perfectly casted, had everyone laughing out loud, so much to the point that we missed some dialogue lines so we'll be renting it when it's out on DVD!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I didn't cry at all until the beach scene, then it hit me. I expected to be crying the whole time.
Took my 15 yr. old daughter with me and she cried early on. Not a man's flick, glad I didn't try to convince my husband to come along. Haven't read the book yet, so I can't compare it. The flashback scenes were confusing at times.
All in all, I thought it was a worthwhile movie, as it raised many real-life, difficult ethical issues, which we had a good discussion about afterwards.
