Very thought provoking film. Stein's primary message is that academic freedom should apply uniformly to scientific inquiry. As someone trained in science, I completely agree that suppressing or ignoring ideas/evidence is a frightening abuse of scientific method and practice.
I do feel that the movie was a bit heavy-handed when discussing Hitler's use of Darwinian theory to justify the horrific abuses associated with Nazism, i.e., someone's evil application of a morally neutral scientific theory does not invalidate it.
