Don't Miss this Movie

After reading newspaper reviews, I almost skipped this movie -- what a loss that would have been! What is vital not to miss is that the over-arching theme of the movie is the frightening attack on academic freedom. Regardless of your views on Intelligent Design or Darwinism, you should be concerned that professors are being pushed out of academia specifically because they are willing to discuss a certain theory.
Near the end of the movie, there is a giant bell being rung. To me, it reminds us to "Ask not for whom the bell tolls, because sooner or later it tolls for all of us." In other words, don't be complacent about Intelligent Design folks being run out of academia -- tomorrow it could be people whose views ARE compatible with your own who are being targeted for ridicule and censure.
Appropriate for children 12 and up with parents -- a great discussion starter for teens and adults alike.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
