I wish more studios would follow Pixar's lead and put out entertaining, quality films that the whole family can enjoy. We cried as often as we laughed. This was an excellent story-line that offered many life lessons. Would see it multiple times.
In an era where animation has to include potty humor and gross-out scenes, it was great to see a very well done and very well written animated movie that was not only very clean, but also modeled life lessons that I wish more of our youth posessed. How refreshing it was to see that WALL*E's greatest sexual desire was merely to hold EVE's hand. It took me back to when I held my soon-to-be wife's hand for the first time. To me, that's far more romantic than any R-rated sex scene could ever aspire to attain.
For a secular movie, this movie contains more Christian messages than I could ever expect to learn on Sunday morning. The best example was WALL*E's demonstration of John 15:13: "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." (It brought me to tears.)
EVERYBODY needs to see this movie, if for no other reason than to see a good movie like Hollywood used to make.
This was a very well-made and thought-provoking movie. It goes to great lengths to explain the background behind Darwin's Origin of Man, as well as differentiate between "Creationism" and "Intelligent Design." It was simultaneously humorous and poignant. It really needs to be watched more than once to fully appreciate its true meaning
