Bale was wooden. Sorry, CB, not good.
Depp was so-so, compared to previous films (Ed Wood, Blow, Pirates...)
Sets authentic and very believable. Where did they get all of those cars?
Camera work gave me mal de mer. The quick cuts from close ups and ots shots were distracting at first, then nauseating. Someone give the cameraman a tripod!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Get Smart

I am still a great fan of the "Get Smart" TV series. Adams, Platt, Feldon, and Koepple were my comedic heros. The Cone Of Slience is still in my vocabulary.
While I enjoyed the movie as a "stand-alone", I cannot help but compare it the the series. To that comparison I say:
"Missed it by that much !"
