When opera comes together on its many levels it sweeps the viewer into a full of wonder adventure. This performance was perfect, sung with passion and the joys and sorrows of the characters loves and foibles. Getting to go backstage added to the excitement and insights that one actually doesn't get when at the Met! Rene Fleming, a lovely Diva in her own right, was a magnificent interviewer, and the unscripted last moment delay of the conductor to conduct the last act was fun. His interpretation rivaled the classic Beecham recording, and Angela and Ramon conveyed the glory of the music and the sadness and joy of the lovers. Musetta stole the show in Act II with her incredible singing and beauty, wowee zowee... Hope the Met puts this onto DVD soon!
