I was very skepitcal about how great the movie would be and if it would ruin the series for me but I was very pleasantly surprised. The back stories were well told and were incredibly exciting, and it made the original series so much better for me. This is definitely a movie every Star Trek fan should see.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
