A magical world

Took my 10 and 8-year-old boys last night, after explaining that it wasn't a "girl's" movie. They loved it. The blend of real and computer-generated is so seamless that you don't pay attention to the effects at all. This is also due to the richly drawn characters. Helena Bonham Carter is brilliant, as is Johnny Depp. Only difference between a 4 and 5 star for me was casting Anne Hathaway, who was god-awful in her cliched performance as the White Queen.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
