Not the worst, but...

This movie was heartless and soul-less, but at least it doesn't go for the cheap vulgar laughs like most "kids" movies. Basically, they took an iconic Japanese character and dumped him into an American stock-plot-movie - one of those generic ready-made, off-the-shelf kiddy plots designed to make everyone think this is some "meaningful" movie. Seems like the "writers" missed the boat on this one; the last few minutes of the movie are an utter embarrassment to watch. Bottom line, this Astroboy is unoffensive, but generic and forgettable.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
