This movie is a lot of fun. It's a good who-dun-it and it's certainly action packed. The one fatal flaw in this whole story is the Anti-Matter. And what happens to it at the end. I'm sorry, but that part is just monstrously stupid. And an unnecessary distraction. Dan Brown messed up using that as the main "bad thing" in the book. It was just dumb.
I was worried it was going to be some meaningless numerology thing, but it turned out to be a lot more fun than that. Some people think it dropped off after the first part (after the 81) but I thought it went along well. A great, fun story.
10 years ago this movie might have been perceived differently. With all the greed from white color executives, CEO, CFO, whatever, there are so many people that have been hurt by these greedy criminals that it's hard to watch them depicted in movies as anything but criminals, liars, manipulators and thieves. This movie just leaves one depressed in the current historical context.
Certainly the darkest of all the super hero movies to date, takes the genre into a new place. Entirely too much cartoon penis porn for most people's taste, but Hollywood being Hollywood, it shouldn't be a surprise.
For people in my age bracket, it's kind of weird. But for young people that seem to be confused about relationships, maybe it's a fun movie to watch and laugh at the weird things people actually do! Entertaining.
I really like to see a good story. And this is entertaining and fun. Naturally, the conspiracy theory thing is a little thin, but who cares, the story was fun. And that's what I look for in a movie. Worth seeing in the theater.
This movie has two problems. 1) The music tends to overpower the dialog pretty regularly. 2) The audience pretty much has to want to believe in the storyline or nonsense tends to reign supreme.
The target audience for this movie are people that believe that big government has all kinds of super secret things and that brain power somehow trumps reality.
It's the usual of what Underworld fans are looking for. However, the end is very confusion. This is a Prequel kind of thing. So some of the end parts don't make sense.
Nothing quite like a movie about someone that is actually willing to do what needs to be done against criminals. In all, a movie about organized crime and the deep corruption that it uses to survive. Makes one wonder about visiting third world countries, like France!
