I am not sure that they needed to do the 3-D version of this movie as I saw little actual 3-D in it. You can see alot of depth which adds to the movie but even at parts where there were opportunities to WOW the audience a little, Pixar didnt take advantage. Might have been on purpose and in no way detracts from a very good movie, but I know my son went the 2nd half of the movie without his glasses on and I cant say he missed anything.
I had never seen a 3D or, as the glasses say, RealD movie before and Im not sure who was more thrilled watching this me or my 2 6 years old sons. I feel like I saw a little of the future of movies. It was well done on the 3D, not overdone, the sight gags were well placed and the humor was right on. It has plenty in there that fits better with the adult audience but I appreciate that I can take my kids and still enjoy the movie. I rate this a 5 and I cant wait for my next 3D experience!
