This movie was the second from Ron Howard and Tom Hanks which is fictictious and the subject is the Catholic Church. It would be nice to see a true story done on the Catholic Church. I would like to recommend to them a true story movie from the book "The President, the Pope, and the Prime Minister" by John O'Sullivan. It is about how Reagan, Pope Paul II, and Thatcher worked together to bring down communism. Tom Hanks would make a great Reagan.
This is a story about a man who has seen everything he valued go away. It takes place where things have dramatically declined-Detroit. It is fitting for teens and older. It will hold your interest and is worth seeing.
Dog lovers probably will like this movie. To me it was just a family with a dog story. It was the life of a dog condensed to a couple hours. It might be a good movie for kids.
This is worth 3 stars and a recommendation to go to as it is basically a good movie for teenagers and older. It shows the hardships of life and the courage it takes to overcome many of the obstacles. The setting of during WW 2 and the early settler days of Australia makes for a love story with pioneer desire to survive.
Every couple should make a date to see this movie. It really leaves you feeling more appreciation for your spouse. You will leave the movie feeling great. Reason for only 4 stars is that it takes a classic to get 5 stars with me--such as Ben Hur, Star Wars etc.
I enjoyed the movie. Most of it was real and not animated. A little computer animation is OK. It did not have too much. It was clean and a good family movie. It is definitely an above average movie.
I found this movie totally disjoined from reality. The plot was absurd. There was also too much nudity but the worse was the very graphic torture/killing. I did not leave the theater feeling good but depressed. It was not entertainment.
