Just So-So

I absolutely LOVE Keifer Sutherland--I'd marry him in a heartbeat :) , but this movie is just so-so. A quick, accurate description of ths movie is Jack Bauer of 24 meets Poltergeist. I did not feel that the woman & children they chose to play Keifer's character's family were appropriate--they were not believable together as a family at all. As for the plot, it was nothing new at all--I've seen all this stuff before, so it was rather disappointing for me. And they didn't fully explain why the nun lady was possessed or how it happened?? But they've set this one up for a sequel--not sure I'll be going to that one though. Keifer should try a movie where he plays a husband, like maybe a romance-mystery thriller, but NO MORE horror.

A HORRIBLE DISGRACE!!!

THIS IS A HORRIBLE, BLASPHEMOUS, DISGRACE OF A MOVIE, SO DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR $$. WE WALKED OUT AFTER ABOUT 30 MIN. OR SO, WENT BACK TO THE TICKET COUNTER, & GOT OUR MONEY BACK. IT'S AN IMMATURE "COMEDY", NOT WHAT I CALL COMEDY, FULL OF NOTHING BUT A CONSTANT STREAM OF BAD LANGUAGE, OBVIOUSLY GEARED TOWARDS THE IMMATURE TEEN & SLIGHTLY OLDER CROWD. SHAME ON BEN STILLER, JACK BLACK, & ROBERT DOWNEY JR: YOU SHOULD ALL BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES--YOU ALL NEED TO GROW UP & START DOING MORE MATURE, REAL COMEDY. I'M DISAPPOINTED IN ALL OF YOU, YOU CAN DO MUCH, MUCH BETTER THAN THIS :(

LOVED PIERCE BROSNAN!!

THE ONLY REASON I WENT TO SEE THIS MOVIE IS TO SUPPORT PIERCE BROSNAN, THE ONLY JAMES BOND THAT I'LL EVER BE INTERESTED IN, PERIOD!!! HIS SINGING WAS SOOOOO SEXY, I JUST ABOUT MELTED IN MY SEAT, SO I'M GIVING 5 STARS TO PIERCE, BUT MY OVERALL 3 STAR RATING IS FOR THE MOVIE: it's a stupid, dum movie, with hardly a plot, no meat. But I do like Abba's music also.

You Can Tell it's an Election Year!

Well, I guess the theme of this movie is, obviously, GO VOTE in November. This was not an exciting movie, but I think its intention is clear, & that is to get people to do their homework on the candidates, & most of all, that EVERY vote counts, whether you believe it or not. The only reason I came to see it is because I'm such a marshmallow for Kevin Costner + I absolutely LOVE Kelsey Grammer. Madeline Carroll did a good job as Molly the daughter.
This is not a movie that you must see at a theater, but is one of those that if you've been to see everything else out that's any good, & you're still wanting to go see something, then you go & see this one.
This is a pretty tepid, kind of a ho-hum movie, just average.

SUPERB SPECIAL EFFECTS!!

I was in absolute AWE of the special effects done in this (hopefullly) LAST installment of the mummy series, although it looks like Peru is next. This was THE BEST of all 3 of the mummy movies as far as special effects goes. And I think they moved the story to China because the producers probably thought that people would be bored with another mummy movie set in Egypt, so they wanted to make it totally different this time around. The snow monsters were SO COOL, I think they were my favorite characters of the whole movie!
The O'Connell's son GREATLY irritated me, trying to act like an adult, like he had all the answers, he was soooooooo childish & immature, I just wanted to slap him. I don't really ever care to see Jr. ever again, so if there is a sequel, I hope he gets left out of it. Was GREATLY disappointed that Rachel Weisz did not return to this movie as Mrs. O'Connell, I did not like her replacement, because it was a disappointment. Brendan Fraser is always so cute, & I have no complaints about his performance, I thought he was great. WRITERS OF HOLLYWOOD: Just please, don't start giving him dum, pointless, meaningless dialogue, like Owen Wilson always gets in his films, please!!! I just HATE dum, meaningless dialogue.
The storyline was pretty fascinating, & I really thought it was intriguing. But all in all, I'm giving this movie 5 stars for the outstanding & superb special effects. I was NOT at all bored with the movie, it held my attention right thru to the end, & the movie actually went by pretty quickly. I really do recommend seeing this, you'll be glad you did.

WHAT A HORRIBLE DISAPPOINTMENT!

As a long-time Xfiles fan, I was so anxious to see this follow-up, & was SO horribly disappointed. It was a weak plot, a gruesome, gross, & disgusting plot that disappointingly enough had NOTHING to do with aliens, UFO's, etc. They could have done a much better job with a much better plot for the XFile fans that have waited so long for another movie. I just about got up & walked out on this one. There's really not much more you can say about this disaster, except, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR $$!!

STUNNING!!

WOW--what a movie, what a story, an actual story, all in 1 movie. The special effects/stunts in this movie are absolutely amazing!! This is one heck of a show, & you will leave this thinking that you actually got your money's worth for a change. I'm not one that usually goes for movies that are over 2 hours, but HONESTLY, when the movie was over, I didn't even notice that it was over 2 hours, because I was SO ENTERTAINED. The performances are all incredible, & the Joker is more sinister than ever. I'm DEFINITELY going to have to watch this one again, & I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND THAT IF YOU DON'T GO TO ANY OTHER MOVIE THIS SUMMER, MAKE SURE TO SEE THIS ONE, YOU WILL BE SORRY IF YOU DON'T!! And by the way, I WILL be going to see the sequel.

THIS WAS TOTALLY COOL!!

This movie was a little bit better than I thought it would be. Will Smith really was GREAT as Hancock, he's a cool, great guy, & has always been one of my Hollywood favorites! The plot twist took me by surprise--I wasn't expecting it, but I thought it was absolutely FANTASTIC. Charlize Theron was also TERRIFIC in her role as well. The main problem I had with this movie was the camera bouncing around in quite a few of the scenes: it caused me to almost become sick to my stomach, so I had to close my eyes until those scenes were over. I hope the sequel's not this way, as I will be disappointed about that. I LOVED the ending: Hancock's new look + the bluetooth earpiece made Will Smith look soooo cool. Glad his character cleaned up!
Anyway, I'm giving this 5 stars because the only bad thing in here was some bad language, & 1 partial butt scene, & that's about it, so it's pretty clean, & the special effects TOTALLY ROCK, & I thought were awesome. I DEFINITELY DO recommend this movie.

SUPER COOL 3D FUN!!

This was a SUPER COOL, & TOTALLY AWESOME 3D MOVIE FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY TO ENJOY!! It was a great, fun ride, & a GREAT science movie, for those who like the subject of science. Brendan Fraser was his usual funny self, & the 3D special effects were sooooo neat. I don't think I've ever been to a 3D movie that I didn't like. It's always a fun & unique movie-going experience. This was worth the $$. Can't wait to see the sequel.

VERY UNIQUE & CREATIVE!!

This movie was SO cute, I LOVED IT! The animation/colors of this movie are absolutely incredible. You sit there & are just mesmerized by how the story moves along. I just loved all the cute little robots & characters in this movie. I ESPECIALLY liked it when Eve swallowed the plant & then it glowed green on her chest, I thought that was so neat the way they did that. THIS MOVIE WAS WAY BETTER THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE ORIGINALLY: when I first heard of WallE, I had no intention of seeing it, because it didn't look that great, but I'm SO GLAD I changed my mind. I can't wait to see it again--I'm always usually a sucker for just about anything Disney, so I recommend you see this for a visual eye candy treat!
