good but not over the top

this movie have gotten so much hype that i had expected it to be spectacular. it was indeed a good movie and gave insights into the slums of india. it was a bit repetitive in the middle and predictable. i wished they played more off their childhood - growing up with a single mom, events leading up to the attack.
i've seen other india-based movies which did a better job in portraing the society. throughout the movie you do root for jamal and lakita.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
