Iron Man delivers

I've been an Iron Man fan for over 30 years, so I've been expecting this movie for a long time, and it delivers.
Robert Downey Jr. gives an over the top performance as Stark. Jeff Bridges was great as Stane. Paltrow was just adequate. There were no subplots Happy Hogan/Pepper/Stark that run thruout the old comics. They only mentioned Hogan once, which was a bit disappointing.
Great action, great effects. It delivers.

Good flick

Saw last nite with kids aged 8/12. When we got home, my 8 yr old was doing kung fu and climbing walls, so it really moved him. A lot of kung fu, and apparently this is a Chinese legend that all Chinese know - the Monkey King. There are not a lot of surprises, but the movie pulls you in, in a classic good guy versus bad guy take. And you end up rooting for the good guy of course. It has its Hollywood and Karate Kid moments, but overall, I really enjoyed this movie and will buy it when released on dvd.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
