Awesome talents in all performers! Dessay & Flores are particularly great stars- voices and looks and acting to live for...dreamy...
Jane Brunnel as the mother, the Count's gorgeous basso and class presence; Lisa's wonderful young talent- all made for a magnificent production. Even if the modernized setting was pushing the envelope a bit at times...Sublime performances!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

It was the next best thing to being there live at the Met...and I sit 3rd row dead center of the orchestra! We loved this experience! Getting up so very close to the singers, to the musicians, the delightful conductor with no score, the back stage glimpses- all are not seen even live at the Met- and this added another whole marvelous dimension! Dessay is truly amazing and Flores is drop-dead gorgeous, both in looks and voice- he hit all 9 high c's like a knife sliding through soft butter- Pavarotti of this generation! Thrilling to see them together...
Yes, I recommend this movie.
