I enjoy outrageous stories with colorful video, especially where there are no shades of gray. The bad guys are really bad and the good ones are good. And I especially like it when the whole gang gets it. But my favorite part of the whole movie was when school bullies tried to hit the little heroine up for lunch money. I still chuckle when I think about it.
I took my grandkids to see it the first day it came out and was not disappointed. This movie has all the ingredients of greatness - a lot of heart, inspiration, great 3D and animation, and a captivating story line.
We expected the movie to be good but it far exceeded our expectations. Our family went to see the 3D version together and all found it delightful from beginning to end. Johnny Depp was endearing and funny as the Mad Hatter, and we loved all the characters.
