Wished It Had Been Longer!

We went to a midnight showing of Wolverine last night. My husband loved the action, and I loved the plot line. We both agreed that the movie went by too fast and we had a lot of lingering questions afterward. When we got home he even looked up most of the things that weren't answered by the movie. If you don't know the X-Men series very well, you'll be left wondering a lot about his relationships and other characters in the movie. Other than that the acting was great. Hugh Jackman looked incredible, and his love interest was one of the most beautiful movie girls I've ever seen. It was a fun night out, very LOUD movie, but worth seeing.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

My husband has been waiting to see this movie for months. I wasn't too excited, but I actually loved it. I did have to duck under his arm for a few of the really graphic parts, but overall it wasn't that bad. There WILL be kids in the theater laughing whenever they see Dr. Manhattan's penis. Just a fact of life, I guess. The character development was impressive, the special effects were awesome. I thought the fighting choreography was especially great. The movie did a great job of never letting you forget it was a graphic novel first. The last half of the movie got a little jumbled for me, but my husband didn't seem to think so. Definitely worth heading to the theater. And if you can see it in IMAX, I definitely recommend that!

Yes Man Review

My husband and I went to see Yes Man after my 16 year old brother suggested it as a date movie. I laughed, a lot. I think I laughed more than the majority of the theater. My husband didn't think it was that funny. It was one of those movies that makes you laugh with moments, at characters, but not at the plot line.
Jim Carrey and Zooey Deschanel were really disappointing. The same can be said for almost all of the acting throughout the film.
It was a fun, Friday night movie. It was lighthearted and made me laugh. But I'll be surprised if the film wins any awards. If you're going to see this movie, try not to go with expectations of the greatness that used to be Jim Carrey.
