Helllooo I don't think any of these other reviewers actually read the books. My 10 y/o daughter and I both read the series and LOVED the books. We had been looking forward to this movie for months only to be very dissapointed with it. If your kids have read the books they will not be happy with this movie. Some of the main concepts in the movie didn't even exist in the books. It is too bad... especially with amazing movies like the Chronicles of Narnia being made to almosty perfectly match their books.
Overall this film does a bad job of jamming the contents of a great 7 short-book series into a 1.5 hour movie. They should have kept the story straight instead of making up new stuff and made it a longer movie. Apparently though people who didn't read the books thought it was great. LOL
No, I do not recommend this movie.
