I went in thinking it would be ok...but it turned out to be a really great movie that I will definitely see again. Great plot with a twist, Fast paced, smart and great effects (this would have been amazing in 3D!).
Pros well paced, great story, great actors

Even if you are not a Star Trek fan you will enjoy this movie that will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout. I saw it in 3D and it was amazing!
If you are a Star Trek fan you will appreciate the story line that takes place in the new 'altered' universe even more because some characters used previously will turn up and the dialogue style and interaction between the characters is spot on (can't say anymore or it will ruin it!)

...at least it didn't look digitally remastered. Close ups were clear but the rest was fuzzy...like expanding an internet video to fit your screen that doesn't have enough pixels to be viewed any larger. The story and the acticing always awesome though. Nice to see it on the big screen again

I love history and enjoy Sci Fi so I couldn't resist going, but I didn't expect too much.....however..... I ended up really liking it and was very surprised by the well woven vampire/Abraham Lincoln/civil war story that kept moving right along from beginning to end. Lots of key historical figures and historical points included in the framework of the movie. The costuming was excellent and the acting very good. Great 3D effects and make up.

Brilliant acting..changes in storyline poorly done

Actors were brilliant as usual. If you have never read the book I think you will enjoy the movie; but, if you are a fan of the books you will find that the (?screenwriter) has taken huge liberties paring down a really wonderful story to fit the screen. They have effectively taken one of JK Rowling’s most exciting endings & turned it into blah. The deatheaters make their kill & run away with Harry chasing behind & that is it. No fight by the DA, Order or anyone….No kidding! Also, when X is killed, Harry just stands by & watches. He has not been petrified & prevented from taking action as he was in the book. That is uncharacteristic of the Harry character. Hoping they don’t have the same (?screenwriter) working on the last 2 movies!

Great black comedy

My husband and I saw the film on Friday and we both liked it very much, however it was not what I was expecting, Based on the previews, I was expecting more of an action 'spy' movie with a little comedy thrown in. This movie is sort of a black comedy that revovles around a spy (John Malkovich) but is not an action type spy movie in any way. The type of 'black comedy' it uses very much reminded me of the movie Fargo.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
