This movie was fun and the special effects were entertaining. Suspend logic and it can be worth the two hours forty minutes. The acting was mediocre at best, the charachters were cliche and poorly developed. The story was preachy and depended on aliens and an alien world in a failed attempt to be unique and imaginitive. Avatar missed an opportunity to develop more complete charachters and story lines with difficult though provoking dilemas to deal with. Adults capable of becoming a teenager for a couple hours will like this predictable simplistic tale. Often the case with big hype movies this one was Oerhyped. Don't have too high of expectations and you may enjoy it.
