A Single Man had no lull in its delivery of Tom Ford's beautiful vision of George's life (despite the relatively short showing time). This vision is in stark contrast to what's in George's heart at the loss of his love. As George prepares for his departure, the lessons that he learns through a night spent with one of his students remind George of the life that happens in between those events--past and planned--that may capture our immediate attention. It is a good lesson of which to remind ourselves.
