Let me start by telling you that I had to pee from the beginning of the movie, but I could not bring myself to leave the theater until the end. There aren't many movies that I would endure that for.
The story is a bit strange, but the action and mayhem somehow make you forget about that. There was never a dull moment. Action packed and never boring. You actually may feel bad about what happens to some of the people in this flick. Way better than I expected.
The kids we brought to the theater loved the minions. Hilarious comedy and Steve Carell does a great job voicing the main character. The kids loved it.
A great movie that is based on a true story. If this is playing near you, you must see it. This has a few funny parts that were funnier than the entire movie, "The Dilemma". This movie has it all. Just a word of caution to young ears, there is a bit of salty language in this, but nothing too over the top.
Seth Rogen has an inflated sense of self worth, which is unearned by the way, and annoys you throughout the film. Aside from the "spoiled brat", Kato is the real deal in this movie. Plenty of fighting and destruction for all. Chris Waltz is great villain as always. Decent flick, but Seth Rogen is a joke.
There is quite a bit of crying and fighting in this movie. The laughs are hard to find. Not Vinny's best movie. Kevin James is NOT funny at all in this movie. If you are expecting "Doug" from KoQ, then forget this flick. Me and my wife left the theater quite disappointed. The lead roles may be enough to pacify fans of the Kev and Vince, but I was bummed out. I would even waver on renting this one.
Excellent remake that has a nice pace. You never get bored with the plot. The main girl character is also quite good. I wish Josh Brolin had a bigger part, but it was nice to see him, too. Damon is good, but seems a bit wimpy. Definitely one of the year's best.
Average story and effects. Actually, the story is so dumbed down, I couldn't believe it. Not the best Cage movie. This is an example of him accepting average roles for a quick paycheck if you ask me.
There are many scenes that make you wonder if you are inside Portman's head or not. There is a lot of duality portrayed in this film. There is enough substance to make it better than your average chick flick.
I only saw this in 2d, but it was still visually awesome. The story is a bit simple, but the visuals make you not care so much about story. Bridges is fantastic and returns to Tron to bring his awesomeness.
