Life must be lived forward

A must see film of the year.
You know the story. Ben ages backwards and watches everyone he knows grow older naturally.
While physically, Ben is old, he still experiences his young life as any youngster would. Then when he gets younger on the outside after 65+ years pass, his personality develops traits of the elderly.
He still lives life as it is meant to be lived, no matter what his appearance.
A good story about love and loss, that has some happy moments as well. The story ties up all the plot lines that it starts, and it hits all the notes you would want in a good movie.
Go see it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Sacrifice

Sacrifice.
The movie sacrificed depth and true structure for emotional emphasis.
The movie has many flaws, but the message is decent. Paying for your wrongs in the most giving way you can. It was a bit depressing, but it is meant to be like that. A person who loses everything they have, at their own hands, would want to make things right. It doesn't hold up well to scrutiny, but it was an entertaining concept.
Worth a rent.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Overcoming odds

A decent movie about overcoming odds to pull through tough situations. Strong family theme. A little something for everyone. It incorporates the Pearl Harbor bombing and war conflict into the historical design.
The only problem I had is that the movie seemed to dwell a little too much on the child, "Nullah". Yes, he was pretty much the main character that "drove" the plot, so I guess the focus on him was needed.
Well worth the price of admission.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Great moral statement

If you are religious and faithful to a religion, avoid this movie. It will just make you angry.
This movie basically states that religion has done very little to aid humanity, and has been the focus of wars and strife. It is OK to say, "I don't know if theres a God or not, and I don't know if theres a heaven or hell. And thats O.K.!"
Its about time someone makes a film like this that asks these questions.
Bill uses his wit against various religious leaders and constantly makes them hit dead-ends in their logic. He makes a few people look outright stupid! In the style of Borat, it has some funny parts.
Best movie I've seen all year! Go see it!
Its good to think about religion and analyze it as deeply as possible to understand ourselves.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Pointless

Some good actors carry this movie, but thats all it has going for it.
The story is pretty dull and collapses on itself at the end. It pretty much says at the end of the movie that it was all just a waste of time. The moral of the story is that everyone's should try not to have lives as trivial and pointless as the characters in this movie.
I expected something much better and more interesting. Skip this one, or rent it on a rainy day.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Kid flick

I brought my niece to this and she loved it. The voice acting is decent and it has an easy-to-follow story for kids. If you don't have kids, this movie doesn't offer much, unless you REALLY LOVE talking dogs. Mild violence and clean humor.
Good for ages 4-10.
George Lopez, Andy Garcia, and Drew Barrymore voice the main characters.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Decent entertainment

Not exactly an oscar worthy flick, but realize this movie is based off a "shoot 'em up" video game. People interested in seeing this movie should know what to expect. You wouldn't go see "Freddy VS Jason" if you thought it was a serious movie.
Decent acting, and slow-starting, but once it gets rolling halfway through, its pretty good. It doesn't disappoint. A bit predictable, but entertaining nonetheless. Go see this if you don't care for the current box office chick-flicks and dramas.
Critics will judge harshly, but they all judge from one standpoint.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Semi-disaster

It seems that Will Ferrell gets less funny with each movie he releases. I actually walked out of the theater about 30 minutes into this movie.
I would have gone to another movie, but I've seen every other movie at the theater, so this was a last resort.
Lame story, lame jokes, and lame acting. Skip this one.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I like a few U2 songs. I am not much of a U2 fan, and I still enjoyed this concert.
I have been to a few concerts, and it is amazing how this 3D film can capture the experience and essence of being at an actual concert. I would have given this 5 stars If it wasn't for the elderly couple that came into the theater and talked quite loudly during the last 10 minutes, as happens quite frequently in FL for some reason.
All the benefits of being at a concert, without the unpleasant smells, sounds, and annoyances of actually being there! (Unless you're in a FL theater...)
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Not your average movie

Yes, this movies is subtitled. Yes, this movie is animated, and most of the animation is black and white.
Now that I've weeded out 90% of movie-goers, I will say that I liked this movie. It is a very personal account of what it was like to grow up in Iran in the 70-80s. It is told from the experience of a young Iranian girl throughout her journey through womanhood. If you like well told stories, then you should like this. It reminds me of Anne Frank's diary, without the being trapped in a basement. It is like Madeline meets Charlie Brown (in Bon Voyage Charlie Brown.) The characters are quite developed for being B+W drawings. Be warned though, this movie will not appeal to the average movie watcher, so make sure you realize what you are in for. Its worth seeing just for the fact that you won't see another movie like this in a long time, and it is a nice break from the norm.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
