Saw this with my woman. She read the book, and I guess the book was better. As a guy, I can't say this would appeal to men. Could be a date movie if you can handle it...

If you like the original, see this!

This is on many people's top 10 horror movies lists. If you didn't like the original, then don't see this, you won't like it.
It is updated, and has better actors. Other than that, its the same movie from the 70's. In my opinion, the 1st one concentrated more on the torture of the girls than this one. This movie seems to concentrate more on the 2nd half of the movie, which is the revenge half of it. Don't let the negative reviews of horror haters deter you. Honestly, most people can't handle this kind of movie. From the original to this one, one thing remains true.

This movie feels like it was a made for TV movie. I've seen better acting and plot lines in episodes of 24. The story doesn't have any appeal and feels like a tired idea.

Blast from the past

It feels like back in 1985 in this movie. That was when the graphic novel was made. The people that give this bad reviews are people that wouldn't like the book. Perhaps "Dark Knight" set the bar a little too high, and people expected that kind of a movie. Watchmen has a very dark feel to it and has some great cinematography.
I loved it. I have to say, Rorschach is one of the most awesome, butt-kicking characters I've ever seen in any movie. At almost 3 hours run-time, you definitely get your money's worth.
Like it or hate it, you have to see it for yourself.

This is a sad excuse for a movie. The fans of Jonas brothers are mostly 10-15 year old girls. Lets face it. These guys could be singing about waiting in line at the DMV, and the fan-base would still eat it up.
Disney needs to stick to animation and stay out of the music business. Maybe if people stop going to see movies like this, the people who put it out will stop creating garbage.

The parts with Madea are absolutely hilarious. Funniest character I've seen in a movie in years! If Madea doesn't make you laugh out loud, then nothing will...
You will be trying to quiet your laughter as the scenes change from gut-busting funny, to emotional and quiet. There are 2 plots going on. One story is funny, and involves Madea. The other story is serious and dramatic. The acting cast is superb and exceeds expectations.
See this movie. Don't let the quirky movie title throw you off. This is a great flick.

Typical slasher

It was a typical slasher flick. There were certain people you hoped would get the axe right away. And in time they did.
I wish I could have chosen the musical score, because this one sucked.
And in closing, don't you think that if you had just killed Jason, that you would incinerate his aarse, and make sure he was definitely dead for good?
Nothing more, or less, than one would expect...

Overdone

The story is one that I have seen too many times. One guy tracks down his person of interest, and easily dispatches large groups of armed men. And he gets out of impossible situations without any consequences. Too hard to believe.
The ending is one of the lamest I have ever seen in a movie. It wraps up in 5 minutes, what should have taken 20 or 30. And it still seems unfinished. The movie ends before you know it, and you can't help but feel like you got jipped.
I don't know how this got 93% recommendation, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
There are too many other good movies to see without losing your time and money on this one.

American version of "Love Actually"

Almost identical to "Love Actually".
The cast is more familiar.
This is a "chick-flick". Women will love it.
If you are a guy, see this with your lady, and you will get bonus points for it.
Some parts seem anti-marriage, but it is a pro-love movie. Sometimes that can be misunderstood. Worth a view if you have already seen all the other great movies that came out this year.
