What a waste of money

I took my boys, age 16 and 14... and I'm 50. I had read a positive review in Rolling Stone. IT looked like this would be good stupid fun for us all, maybe more so for them.
What a lousy movie! The writing was bad, the acting was stiff... I KNOW it was a farce, I KNOW it's SUPPOSED to be silly... I get that.
The trailer shows you ALL of the funny parts to the movie (good job putting the trailer together guys)... watch it, laugh and save your money.

Good origin story

Clever for old guys like me that know the original TV series, interesting enough to stand on it's own. Action sequences are a little too fast and confusing (even my 15 year old son thought so). There was some, but I would have liked to have seen a little more in the way of references to the first TV series in the way of verbal phrasing and personal posture/behavior of the characters.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
