Kept me awake, but not up to expected standards. Too many of the special effects, action scenes were too over-the-top. Instead of eliciting "Oh" and "Ah",.. my reaction (and I heard many others in the theater) laughing at the silliness or saying "oh, come on!" We expect Indy to be full throttle...and he was. The search-for-lost-treasure idea was a winner, as always. The humor in the very midst of hot action was great. I enjoyed the references to previous movies & bringing back Allen as romantic interest was good. Cate Blanchett & Harrison Ford were superb. But then we get treated to super knowledgable aliens??? I won't even comment on the two most ridiculous ideas of the movie: involving inspired swinging on vines and hordes of ants taking a man into their nest. But later in the same vine-thronged jungle no one can find a vine to use as a rope so they decide to use a giant snake. ??? I thought cartoons were supposed to be on Sat. morning!!
No, I do not recommend this movie.
