Opening Night Gala

A marvelousd night as far as the production was concerned. Rene was magnificant as were Ramon Vargas, Dwayne Croft and Thomas Hampson. The sets and costumes were wonderful. My only complaints are that the theater's HD was lacking and the sound system is not very good. The picture was very poor.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

My wife and I have seen La Boheme live twice at The San Diego Opera. This was nearly as good and in some respects better than seeing it live. Since we cannot afford orchestra seats we can not see the singers' faces as well as in the movie theater.
The singers were terrific, especially Ramon Vargas.
We have seen one other Live in HD and will see many more. The price is terrific.
One suggested improvement would be for the theaters to have reserved seating. Getting there an hour in advance to get in line is a pain.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
