I am old enough to remember the original. So I took my son to see the remake. I enjoyed that it kept close to the original ( I must agree that removing the owl was a good idea), and my son loved the special effects. Very entertaining!!

I thought that Louis Leterrier did a great job of combining his vision with some influence from the TV genre! Much better than Ang Lee's version, more Hulk'ish and less King Kongish.
Loved the "cameos" by those from the TV show!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
