Lots of gimmicks but story was bad

We were sad that dave was only in about 10 minutes of the film. There were a couple of funny parts, but the story was boring and everyone (ages 6, 5, 3) were squirmy throughout the movie.....We were all sad because we had been waiting so long to see it. Real let down
No, I do not recommend this movie.
