I went into this movie with no expectations, and I came out very pleasantly surprised. I thought the acting was wonderful and the story, although it seemed a little far-fetched for a while, came together nicely. I had my doubts about the magic aspect, but don't let that be a deterrent. They explain it well at the end. I've heard that this version stays close to the original books, which is nice. Watson was an excellent character in this movie, as opposed to previous movies where he has been more of an idiot. I loved this movie - only gave it 4 stars because it scared my sister out of the theater (kids under 10 or 11 may be scared).
Yes, I recommend this movie.
