This movie was incredible! It was heavy on action and combat and it delivered, and it also had some deeper emotional tones. A bit too much of testical humor, but this movie was hilarious as well! Great acting, incredible special effects. This is definetly one that needs to be watched more than once, and must be watched on IMAX! This movie is to 2009 what The Dark Knight is to 2008 as far as aestical emotional power. I plan to see it 2-3 more times.
Batman: The Dark Knight is one of the greatest films of all time. The sheer deepth of the plot and real lasting characters brought entertainment to a whole new level. Heath Ledger's oscar worthy performance will be known for the rest of cinema history. Christian Bale's performance of Batman is so top notch that it's easy to forget it's him under the suit, the same guy playing Bruce Wayne. The cinematography was fantastic (especially in IMAX) and the superb acting of Aaron Eckhart, Gary Oldman, Michael Caine, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and the rest of the supporting cast along with great, limited cgi, special effects made this a masterpiece. My only concern is how can anyone make something better than this.
It was magic itself just to hear the names Scully and Mulder once again. A fan at a young age, I made it a priority to watch the X-Files everyweek and stayed with it even during the tough times of the last seasons. The plot to this movie was more concentrated on character retrospect and current struggles that stayed true to what is recognized in the show. However, the pieces to the crime puzzle could of fit better with a tad more explanation or closure. The acting was good, especially by Gillian Anderson, the music had a good effect, and the ending with a deep moral made this movie turn from a 4 star to a 5. With T.V. full of immoral fake realitiy it was quite a refreshment to see this wonderful group of entertainers give us through this story something to ponder and apply.
