I saw the new Rolling Stones movie (concert) Shine A Light this past Saturday night (4/5/08), and it was great. I have been fortunate enough to have seen the Stones live a number of times, and let me tell you I found myself applauding between songs, this was as close to being in the audience as you can get. I saw the show in a digital theater, but I am definately going to catch it in Imax as well. This a Must See for any Stones fans, the setlist was great, they really mixed it up with a lot of the classics, and some rarely played numbers that the hardcore fans will appreciate. The only (and I hate to say this) disappointment was that I wish that they left in a bit more of the between song banter that Mick is famous for, but at a running time of 2+ hours I guess that I rather they cut that than the music. I can't wait for the CD & DVD (hopefully with a bunch of bonus footage...hint...hint) to come out. Now that you've read this get a ticket from movietickets.com and go see the show, it's that good.
