Outstanding production and performances of one of my favorite operas. It's wonderful to think that it will be avaiable for viewing in the future. The cinematography gets better with each Met HD production. One small criticism -- the closeups are great, but there should be more wide angle shots to give a view of the production as a whole.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

La Fille du Regiment was great fun -- the most enjoyable of the Met broadcasts so far. The music was beautiful, the acting and sets were outstanding, Natalie Dessai was a marvelous physical comedienne, and sang beautifully as well. Please let me know when you will rebroadcast it so I can tell my friends and family.
