Having never read the book, my daughter tells me that I missed a lot. However, I think that the script and storyline stand on their own. The lens work, scene framing and post-production editing did an excellent job of creating the proper mood for this piece. The actors had a great canvas to work with. I think you will easily achieve a state of suspended disbelief and you will come away thoroughly satisfied that you got your full measure of entertainment from your ticket price. I cannot spoil the ending for you - there wasn't one. No matter, I look forward to the obvious sequel. Cheers.
