Great, but not Excellent

I really enjoyed Ninja Assassin. It left me wanting more, which can be a good thing. Of course the story was not the most original and there were no shocking twists or turns, but that wasn't the appeal of the movie for me. The reason I gave it four stars instead of five was that the action wasn't as good as it could have been. It's a shame too because there were some action scenes that were just amazing, and then others that resorted to the all-too-often used shaky camera technique that has plagued Hollywood of late. Overall it was totally worth seeing in the theater though.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
