A redundant yet important storyline. Corporate industrialists impose upon the locals, who eventually rise up and overthrow the oppressors. That's a bit simplistic, because this movie does explore the interelationship of a peoples and their environment and the acting is all very beleivable. The connection of the Navii with their world is an interesting interpretation, but the real deal with this is the imaginative flora and fauna and the CGI used to show it. The effects and cinematography are excellent. Some people hate that computers are used these days to create scenes and actors. I say use whatever is necessary to realize the story . Definitely a must see in 3D and IMAX.
My only downturn on this is I'd like to see such effects used with an original storyline.
