My husband (who didn't read the books), my 11 yr old and 13 yr old daughters and I (who did read them) all enjoyed the movie, that was just exciting enough to hold a grown man's attention and fantastical enough (but not too scary) to interest the younger ladies. It's a terrific lesson in Greek mythology -- who can forget the relationships of the siblings and rivals and enemies now?! I liked the messages about family, love and sacrifice, friendship and loyalty. Good entertainment.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
