Family-friendly fantasy

This movie really strived to immerse the audience in another world, in every way imaginable. The special effects are tremendous, and the storyline, while simple at times, was straightforward and succeeded where it needed to succeed. Most people will be carried away, including younger family members. My daughter started to discuss 'the evolution of the blue cat people', which was worth the price of admission itself.
The only problem was the difficulty in getting IMAX tickets; after three sold-out weekends, I decided to take last Friday off work, and I could only buy the Friday matinee tickets the previous Wednesday evening, which made it difficult to plan the rest of the weekend.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
